Jarrod M. Wilfert has over a decade of experience successfully pursuing criminal defense and civil litigation through a unique approach. As a former police officer, prosecutor, and certified drug recognition expert, Jarrod brings a deep and well-rounded knowledge of criminal cases and how to effectively defend them.
Before his career as a criminal defense layer, Jarrod was a successful police officer handling hundreds of calls and investigations surrounding criminal offenses. During his time as an officer, he reached the highest attainable level of training related to narcotic impairment investigation, effectively becoming a Drug Recognition Expert.
Jarrod is a University of California at Los Angeles and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles alum. His education centered around criminal law and trial advocacy and gave him the skills necessary to secure an internship with Los Angeles' District Attorney's Office Forensic Science and Cold Case Homicide Unit.
Jarrod went on to become a Deputy District Attorney in Ventura County District Attorney's Office, where he earned numerous awards from the District Attorney for his impressive trial skills.
Jarrod is now able to combine his eclectic experiences to offer a strong approach and depth of knowledge to every case he encounters.
